[about the blue chair]

[from the what?]

[this is about environment. an environment where everyone has equal opportunity. where people come together to create unique projects. an environment in which collaborative cooperation occurs. there is no theme, no socio-political statement, no governing philosophy other than that of creative experimentation. the purpose of [from the blue chair] is to create an environment dedicated to becoming whatever it becomes, to embrace the excitement of change, and to discover what innovations can be realized through collaboration.]

[as of now, until then]

[it begins as a virtual bi-monthly publication of literature, art, and everything else expressive. it will grow into a hard copy publication and a real time environment where such creations can be experienced as physical events shaped by the contributors. just as its virtual manifestation will be determined by the work it supports, so too will its eventual physical form, continually recreating itself based on the input of its community and the result of collaborative experimentation.]

[yes, but what does it do?]

[here is opportunity for everyone to showcase their passions. your work will be presented in conjunction with other creators. if your submissions are already collaborative, all the better. if not, [from the blue chair] provides you an opportunity to expand your creative output by connecting you with other people who share your interests and visions. we will facilitate communication between contributors and other interested parties by means of a mailing list (privacy assured) and a forum (soon to come). as it grows what it becomes and the direction it takes will be entirely decided by the people who are a committed to its progress.]

[it's all about you]

[for all voices, [from the blue chair] presents a singular opportunity to be directly involved in an environment that is also a movement that is also a work in progress. whether your desire is to become actively involved or simply contribute, there is a place for you. painters, dancers, programmers, chefs, musicians, cinematographers, cartoonists, singers, writers, mimes, and everyone else are welcome to participate. please see our submission guidelines and support info for more details. if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to e-mail us.]

[from the blue chair]

[being a part of [from the blue chair] is like nothing you’ve ever done before. you never know where it might take you.]
